Custom kitchen cabinets in Malibu & Pacific Palisades

The Pacifica Mill builds custom kitchens for houses in Malibu, Pacific Palisades and along the coast to Ventura. Cabinets are made in solid rift or plain-sawn white oak, walnut or maple over prefinished or veneer-core plywood, in frameless or face-frame construction. Blum soft-close hinges and undermount slides are standard, drawer boxes are dovetailed or doweled, and finishes are stain, lacquer, oil or two-tone paint, sprayed in the shop. Shop drawings typically take 1–2 weeks, and fabrication typically takes 6–10 weeks from drawing approval.

A kitchen is the hardest-working room in the house, and on the coast it also has to handle salt air and big swings in humidity. We seal every edge, choose sheet goods that stay flat, and plan appliance panels, lighting and ventilation in the drawings instead of discovering them on site. On Bluewater Road we built a full-height rift oak wall around a travertine island; on Larkspur Lane, a slatted oak bar with a lit wine wall.
