Custom cabinetry in Brentwood

The Pacifica Mill builds custom kitchens, dressing rooms, libraries and built-ins for Brentwood homes. We draw and build in our Malibu shop and install with our own crew, working with your architect, designer and builder from early drawings through the final adjustment.

Cabinetry for the whole house

Brentwood projects are often whole-house: a kitchen and butler's pantry, a primary dressing room, a library or study, a media room and several baths. When one shop builds all of it, the wood, finish and reveals match from room to room, and there is one set of shop drawings and one schedule for the builder to coordinate.

We build in rift and plain-sawn white oak, walnut and maple, in stain, lacquer, oil or paint, frameless or face-frame. Blum soft-close hinges and undermount slides are standard on every job.

Working with the design team

Most of this work comes through an architect or interior designer. We turn their drawings into dimensioned shop drawings, flag anything that will not work in wood before it is cut, and send samples for approval. Shop drawings typically take 1–2 weeks after the site measure, and fabrication typically takes 6–10 weeks from drawing approval.

Common questions

Do you work with my architect, designer or builder?
Yes. We work from your architect's or designer's drawings, turn them into dimensioned shop drawings and send those back for review before anything is cut. We coordinate blocking, plumbing, electrical and appliance specs with your builder. We also work directly with homeowners when there is no designer on the job.
Can you build every room's cabinetry for one house?
Yes. We regularly draw and build kitchens, baths, closets, built-ins and paneling for the same house, which keeps species, finish and details consistent throughout.
How long does it take?
Shop drawings typically take 1–2 weeks after the site measure, and fabrication typically takes 6–10 weeks from drawing approval. Larger houses are often fabricated and installed in phases to match construction.
How is custom cabinetry priced?
We quote by the linear foot from plans or a site measure and itemize anything outside that, such as panel-ready appliance fronts, interior fittings and lighting, so you can see where the money goes.
