Closets
Custom closets and dressing rooms
Start with an inventory
A good closet starts with what goes in it. We ask how much long and short hanging you need, how many pairs of shoes, how you store folded clothes, and what needs to be locked or hidden. The layout comes from that, not from a fixed module.
Doors match the rest of the house, so a dressing room off the primary bedroom can carry the same oak or paint as the vanities next door. Glass-front doors, valet rods, jewelry inserts and mirrors are all options.
Lighting and islands
Lit interiors make a closet usable. We plan LED strips, switching and the drivers in the shop drawings so the electrician knows exactly where power goes before drywall. Islands add drawer storage and a surface for packing and folding, and can take a stone or wood top.
FAQ
Common questions
- What does a custom walk-in closet cost?
- It depends on size, how much is drawers versus hanging, doors, and lighting. Like our kitchens, we quote by the linear foot from plans or a site measure and itemize extras like islands, glass doors and lighting, so you can see where the money goes.
- Can you add lighting inside the closet?
- Yes. We plan LED lighting, switching and driver locations in the shop drawings and coordinate with your electrician so power is where it needs to be before the walls close.
- Can a closet have an island?
- Yes, if there is room to walk around it comfortably. Islands are usually drawers with a stone or wood top, and are a good place for jewelry and accessory inserts.
- How long does it take?
- Shop drawings typically take 1–2 weeks after the site measure, and fabrication typically takes 6–10 weeks from drawing approval.
